Hexareel Studios started with two strangers at a community sports event and a $3,000 loan from a father who believed in an idea before it had a name.

IN THE UAE.
Ibrahim was covering SBT10, a community sports tournament, as a photographer. Hasan had been flown in from Mumbai as the only non-UAE player. They met behind a camera and a game, and the conversation didn't stop.
Ten months later, in October 2018, Hexareel Studios existed: funded by a $3,000 loan from Ibrahim's father, spent on one Panasonic GH5 and a gimbal. Ibrahim was a broke college student. Hasan had already turned down a safe job to bet on his craft, borrowing phones to shoot and rendering edits for 14 hours at a time.
In 2022 we did the irresponsible thing: more gear, more people, a bigger space, bigger clients, all at once. It worked. That leap became our two-floor flagship studio in Pune.
We've never spent a rupee or a dirham on ads. Our clients love the work, come back for more, and refer us to people like them. That's the entire growth strategy, eight years running.
THE FOUNDERS
HASAN NULWALA
Co-Founder · Creative Lead · Lead Editor
Cinematographer, editor, VFX artist, and the studio's creative engine. Hasan is the partner who also sits in the edit chair, which is why nothing leaves the studio below his standard. He'll fly to meet you anywhere, walk your factory floor, and find the film in it. Most proposals go out under his name, and his sign-off is the last gate every frame passes.
IBRAHIM NAJMI
Co-Founder · Growth & Strategy · Dubai
The detail detective. Ibrahim notices when a shadow is two degrees off, and he's the reason deadlines mean something. Based in Dubai, he handles strategy, client relationships and founder personal branding. A second-generation business owner himself, he speaks fluent family-business: the pride, the stakes, and what it takes to modernise without losing the name.
