RESORTS WORLDCRUISES.
A cruise line launches its first Dubai season. We go aboard and stay aboard: Khasab, Muscat, Doha and Sir Bani Yas Island, leg after leg, all winter.
THE BRIEF
A SHIP IS A CITY THAT MOVES.
Resorts World Cruises launched a weekly loop out of Dubai: Musandam, Muscat, Doha and Sir Bani Yas Island, sailing through the winter season. They needed the whole product captured while the season was still selling. The ship itself, the shore excursions, the guests, and the travel trade that moves the bookings.
We knew the brief because we had done it before. This was our second project with Resorts World Cruises after their Singapore sailings, and our third cruise production overall. Ark Travels, their authorized agent in India, organized the cruise and handles bookings for the route.
THE WORK
We covered the ship the way you would cover a massive hotel: facilities, food, experiences, the arrival and the send-off. Traveler interviews on deck. Then the shore ran its own schedule: a dhow cruise and dolphin spotting off Musandam, the sights of Muscat and Doha, a safari and beach event on Sir Bani Yas.
The first sailing carried the real test. Travel partners came aboard to experience the product they would be selling, and the event could not wait for the ship to dock. We covered it, cut it overnight in the cabin, and delivered the finished film the next day, still at sea.
