STERLINGPARFUMS.
HR was spending up to an hour of every induction just explaining the company. We turned that hour into a ten minute film, told one sentence at a time by the people who work there.
THE BRIEF
A THOUSAND PEOPLE. TEN MINUTES.
Sterling Parfums runs three separate premises in one area: the parent unit with offices and manufacturing, a second manufacturing unit with its warehouse, and a pure warehouse four storeys high. Over a thousand staff, dozens of nationalities.
The brief: one film that gives every new employee the full company picture at the start of induction, with segments that double as a company introduction for exhibitions and prospective clients. We already knew the group. Our 2018 flagship corporate film for them is still in use today.
THE WORK
EVERY EMPLOYEE GETS ONE SENTENCE.
The creative idea that carried the film: every employee delivers exactly one sentence of the script. It keeps a fact heavy orientation entertaining, shows the diversity of the workforce and introduces the key people, from leadership to warehouse ground staff, housekeeping to manufacturing.
Six to seven shoot days, interviews aligned and coordinated across departments, over twenty employees on screen. When the group built new premises after the first shoot, we flew back to Dubai and shot again, then blended footage taken months apart with their archival material into one homogeneous film.
Multiple feedback rounds from department heads and leadership, all incorporated. The film opens their inductions today, and the exhibition cuts travel with their sales team.
- One induction film that replaces an hour of live orientation
- Exhibition cuts reusable as the company introduction
- Script development with their team, written for camera
- A re-shoot round after new premises were built
- 20+ employees on screen from leadership to the warehouse floor
